Servants of Ra Revealed!

I finally finished basing and clear-coat spraying them just before we left town last Friday for a long weekend. Returning late yesterday afternoon, I was in no mood to haul out the camera and snap photos. Most of today was eaten up with a variety of chores. But this evening, I found a bit of time. Without further ado, here are the Servants of Ra, the first of three Companies I have purchased for In Her Majesty's Name.

Akhenaton, the Reincarnated Pharaoh

Imhotep, the mummified priest of Ra

Sairah, Hashashin leader and daughter of Professor Abir

Professor Abdul Abdullah Abir, fanatic Egyptologist, sorcerer, and leader of Akhenaton's cult.

Skandar Akbar, a prominent cultist (Note the fez. Fezzes are cool.)

The motley cultists.

The Servants of Ra

As long as I am at it, I thought I would show you some of the terrain I finished today - a bunch of trees. I bought them at Michael's using their 50% off coupon.

Martian Trees

Earth/Venus Trees

My son at the Rocky Mountain Challenge Rugby Tournament.
He's the one being lifted up in the lineout. How did that get in here?

Azog Treadbike Previewed

Over on TMP, the madman known as Tango often clues folks in on the newest and neatest stuff out there on the internet for gaming enthusiasts. Today is no different - what does he do that he has this much time to cruise the internet? I dunno, but I am happy he can, because this is one of the things he pointed out for us today. Although designed for a Weird War II setting, the Azog Treadbike, from Mad Robot Miniatures, could be made Victorian Science Fiction very easily, methinks.

Perhaps replace the machinegun with a spar torpedo? Or mount the boiler up front in its place? Combine with a lance-carrying arm from either Victoria Miniatures or Curious Constructs, swap the head... oh yeah, I am liking this.

Which nation does it best suit, though? That begs for something I haven't done in ages around here... a POLL! (Cue the ticker tape and cheering crowds of adoring fans.) So, look to the left. No, your other left. That's it. Vote in the poll. Make your voice heard!

Just a quickie, but I checked in this morning and found that I have finally broken the 70 mark. I've been sitting at 69 followers for months now.

Anyway, hurray for me.

In other news, the Servants of Ra are almost ready to emerge from the shadows of my painting table, and a quartet of Martian Shield Gunners may just come with them.

Keep an eye here. The EYE OF RA!
